Willowdale Artist’s Show and Sale and Open House

The Willowdale Group of Artists is one of the oldest art groups in Toronto, it has more than 200 members and was founded back in 1947.  It is amazing to discover so much talent living around us – it really shines at the Willowdale Artists Show.

Willowdale Empire Theatre Says Good Bye

Everyone has a favourite movie – and favourite memories of the Movie Theatre!

Our Willowdale community will say good-bye this month to the popular ‘Empire Theatres’ at Empress Walk.  The convenience of stepping out for an evening of  ’dinner and a movie’ will be a little tougher this Spring. While the Empire announces their closing, another Willowdale Theatres is closing it’s doors… The Odeon Theatres at the Sheppard Centre will be closing their theatres to complete some exciting Renovations!

So while two theatres appear to be out of commission this spring, get ready for the all new renovated Odeon Ciniplex Theatre at the Sheppard Centre in Willowdale at Yonge and Sheppard.

Just a reminder for those of you who received Movie Gift Cards this past holiday season – check your theatres. The Empire is announcing that their last show runs on march 21, 2013.
